World of ClaudeCraft has reopened its Halloween window, giving players another week to pursue Gourdlight Eve rewards. The v0.45.6 release, published on 1 November, sets the automatic closing time at 12:00 UTC on 8 November 2026. That is a material change for anyone who thought the pumpkin errands were already over.

The extension follows another release that day, v0.45.5, which adjusts enemy health during early progression. Together, the changes offer two different reasons to revisit the browser MMO: more time for seasonal goals and a revised stretch of ordinary levelling. Neither requires pretending a longer calendar is a new expansion.

More time, unchanged reward rules

According to the extension notice, Gourdlight Eve remains available throughout 7 November worldwide. Players have additional time to earn the Emberbristle Broom, toys and titles, and earned rewards remain after the event closes.

The developer also states that reward costs, daily lockouts and drop rates have not changed. The practical benefit is therefore extra opportunities to participate under the existing rules. It is not an announcement of cheaper rewards or more generous individual drops.

That distinction matters for players returning with unfinished goals. More days can make a daily restriction less awkward to work around, but it does not mean every reward is suddenly within effortless reach. There is still a schedule to consider, preferably before surrendering another evening to a broom with excellent marketing.

The event has moved beyond its original deadline

The original v0.45.3 announcement introduced Gourdlight Eve with a 1 November closing time. It described seasonal town activities and a boss challenge alongside rewards intended to outlast the festivities.

The new release changes that timing rather than introducing the festival for the first time. For existing players, that is the useful headline: an opportunity previously scheduled to end is available again. An old event announcement should no longer be used as the current deadline.

Editorially, an extension is a modest but worthwhile accommodation for people who missed a short seasonal window. Its value depends on wanting the activities or souvenirs in the first place. A deadline is information, not an instruction from your leisure-time manager.

Early enemy health gets attention too

The v0.45.5 notes say mob health progression has been smoothed between levels 5 and 20. World elites also receive their intended minimum health.

Those changes matter to the rhythm of levelling, although the notes alone do not establish how much faster or harder any particular fight becomes. A smoother curve could make advancement feel less uneven; restoring elite health could preserve the distinction between ordinary enemies and tougher targets. Those are design implications, not measured results.

We have not tested either release. There is no basis here for promising balanced classes, a particular completion time or a universally easier journey. The sensible expectation is a revised health curve that players can assess through ordinary encounters.

A practical reason to return

Levy Street identifies World of ClaudeCraft as its free, open-source MMO, while the project documentation describes optional Solana features alongside conventional adventuring. This update's player value comes from the game itself: seasonal access and combat progression.

Sardine verdict: 7/10 sardines for the documented player value of the event extension and health adjustments, provisionally. Extra time under explicit reward rules is useful, while the levelling changes need hands-on evidence before earning stronger praise.
